Looking for fun in the Great Outdoors? Saturday and Sunday, April 24-25, will be your chance for fun in the sun: two days of art, food, music, plants, shopping, and a grand ‘re’-opening of Caddo Common Park! The Downtown Mercantile Spring Market will be open for business Saturday, April 24 from 10 am-8 pm at 1110 Texas Avenue. This fun event that debuted with a Fall Market, features more than 40 different vendors, live music and yummy food options including Mi Meza Latin Cuisine, RNL Authentics, Eddie’s Stuffed Shrimp, and treats from Shreveport Cottage Homestead, The Twisted Brownie and Sugarwalk Popcorn. (Don’t forget great coffee and tea options from Special Reserve Coffee Roasters)!

The onsite vendors run the gamut of art, pottery, home decor, antiques and collectibles, soaps and lotions, pillow and fabrics, plants, and much more. Don’t forget that C&C Mercantile and Lighting and ArtiFact next door will also be open for the market.

Enjoy live music with Derrick McLendon 11am-1 pm and The Critics 4pm-7pm.

A new event this year is the Sun Up Social Brunch on Sunday, April 25 from 10 am- 2 pm. Prices and food details will be announced soon, but know that you will be able to shop, have a wonderful brunch and hear great Gospel music.

Don’t forget the Saturday, April 24 is also the SNOWMAGEDDON PLANT SWAP at The Lot, 400 Crockett Street. Plan(t) your day to include BOTH of these wonderful activities!

On Sunday, April 25, prepare for the Grand Re-Opening and the kickoff of UnCommon Weekends in Caddo Common Park, 869 Texas Avenue.
